When I started at Traffic Today as a junior marketer, it was actually mainly to see if I wanted to live in Deventer. But I enjoyed those first few months so much that I’m still happily working and living here. And to be honest: I’m probably a bit too down-to-earth for the capital. What has kept me at Traffic Today in particular? The scope to grow, take on responsibility and really delve into the profession.
I have since progressed to the role of Head of Social. Whereas initially I was mainly involved in setting up campaigns, I now contribute to the overall strategy.
How do you make an impact with content? How do you help brands grow via Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn or Google? Each platform requires a different approach, and what do you need to not only reach people but also convert them?
Social remains my speciality, but I’m increasingly taking a full-funnel approach to see how all the different channels work together. These days, it’s important to be present at the right time, with the right message and via the right channel.
What makes the difference for me at Traffic Today? The culture. We work hard with a young and ambitious team to achieve great results, but we also make plenty of room for team-building. And that’s why I come to work here full of energy every day.
Socialising is pretty much in my DNA. As well as online marketing, I’m mad about anything to do with food, drink and a good time. The best-stocked snack platters? Those are usually my doing. And if you’re lucky, I might even bring a treat or two into the office. I also enjoy a game of tennis or padel, can regularly be found at the gym, or lace up my running shoes for a run along the IJssel.
At Traffic Today , we operate according to a unique organisational structure, inspired by Eckart Wintzen’s cell-based principle. This enables us to grow organically and sustainably, without compromising on our culture, expertise and flexibility.
