Hi, I’m Merlijn!
I’ve been part of the Traffic Today team in Deventer since December 2024. I now work as a Social Advertising Marketeer, focusing on social advertising and online marketing on a daily basis.

Driven by my keen interest in travel, my journey began with a course in tourism, followed by a higher national education (HBO) degree in the same field. I soon realised I wanted to broaden my horizons and enrolled on a part-time course in Commercial Economics. It was there that my interest in delving deeper into marketing and advertising was sparked.

Through an acquaintance, I ended up at Traffic Today , where the friendly working atmosphere and the variety of working for different clients immediately appealed to me. I started with a traineeship, during which I had the opportunity to gain a lot of new knowledge and build up practical experience. After four months, I moved into my current role as Social Advertising Marketeer.

As well as my work at Traffic Today , I also work as a self-employed entrepreneur, again in online marketing. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym for strength training and leading a healthy lifestyle, although of course enjoying life is also an integral part of that.

I love a good time. Whether it’s an evening on a terrace with friends, a day out with colleagues or a brilliant trip with my girlfriends: count me in! But I can just as easily enjoy a quiet evening on the sofa doing a bit of online shopping. I’m looking forward to developing my skills further over the coming years in the world of social advertising and online marketing.
