Proud partner
Gemini is Google’s answer to ChatGPT, but deeply integrated into your everyday tools. Whether you’re working in Gmail, Docs, Sheets or Search: Gemini is already built in. Ready to help you think through ideas, write texts or extract insights from your data. So it’s not a standalone tool, but a smart assistant right at the heart of your workflow.
At Traffic Today , we use Gemini to make marketing processes faster, smarter and more consistent. Discover what Gemini can do for your team. Do you have any questions about this, or could you do with some help?

These days, there are AI tools for virtually every purpose: writing, image generation, data analysis, coding or structuring. Gemini stands out because it combines all these functions – and does so directly within your familiar Google environment.
Whereas other tools often exist alongside your workflow, Gemini is right at the heart of it. It understands the content of your document, your emails or your spreadsheet, and uses this to help you move forward. What’s more, it retrieves real-time information from Google Search and combines it with what you’re already doing.
One of Gemini’s biggest advantages is that it is directly linked to Google Search. This means that the information you receive is not based on outdated training data, but on what is currently available online. You can therefore incorporate current trends, recent figures or events directly into your content, summaries or analyses. This is particularly useful for SEO, market analysis or time-sensitive campaigns. It helps you avoid AI providing answers that are out of date or simply do not reflect today’s reality.
Gemini works differently from many other AI tools. You don’t need to open a separate app or log in to a separate website. Instead, Gemini is built into tools you probably already use every day, such as Gmail, Docs and Sheets.
Depending on your account and location, Gemini may be active automatically or you may need to activate it yourself. Here’s how it works:
Do you want to (temporarily) stop using Gemini in your Google environment? If so, it depends on the type of account you’re using:
For personal Google accounts:
For Google Workspace users (business):
Your administrator can configure whether Gemini is available within the organisation. You cannot always disable it yourself, unless your administrator grants you access to do so via the admin console.
Gemini isn’t just useful for emails and summaries. It’s also a powerful assistant for content marketing tasks. Because it’s connected to Google Search and integrated with tools such as Sheets and Analytics, it helps you make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Request via Google Docs (using the star icon) or directly via Gemini to identify relevant long-tail search terms within a specific topic. Add context (target audience, channel) for better results.
Paste a list of keywords into a Google Sheet and use the Gemini panel to group them by topic, intent or target audience.
Type a first draft of your ad copy in Gmail or Docs, select the text and click on ‘Help me write’. Ask for variations for A/B testing or for better calls to action.
Open a Sheet or Doc, right-click on the Gemini panel and ask questions in everyday language, such as “Which campaign had the highest conversion rate in April?” or “Summarise this content plan by channel”.
Start with a few random keywords in a Google Doc and ask, for example: “Help me organise this into a marketing briefing.” Gemini helps you create a clear overview with headings, bullet points and a logical sequence.
If you work with Google Ads or Google Analytics, you can use Gemini to gain insights more quickly. For example, ask: “Which ad campaigns have the highest conversion rate per channel?” or “Summarise my visitor data from last month”. You can also analyse or structure input such as lists of search terms or conversion data from Sheets. This makes Gemini a practical partner for reporting or optimisation.

Gemini was developed by Google and is tightly integrated with Google tools such as Gmail, Docs and Sheets. ChatGPT is a standalone tool from OpenAI, which excels in creativity and linguistic variety.
The main difference: Gemini works with live search data and immediately understands the context of your Google documents, whilst ChatGPT is better suited to standalone prompts, brainstorming or creative output.
Yes, you can use Gemini in Dutch.
In Google Docs, click on the star icon or select ‘Help me write’ from the context menu. In Gmail, this option also appears automatically when composing a message. You can type in commands such as ‘Summarise this email’ or ‘Write a proposal in an informal tone’. In some accounts, you’ll need to enable Gemini via the settings first.
Yes. For personal Google accounts, you can go to myactivity.google.com and disable your Gemini activity there. For business accounts within Google Workspace, the administrator determines whether Gemini is active. As an employee, you cannot always disable it yourself.
Yes, provided you handle the information you enter with care. Google states that it does not use content to train AI models for paid accounts. Nevertheless, it remains important not to include any confidential or traceable client information in prompts. It is best to use vague descriptions or work with templates that do not contain any personal data.
Gemini works directly within your Google environment and has access to up-to-date information via Google Search. This allows you to work more quickly with data you’re already using in your work – such as content in Google Docs, figures in Sheets or emails in Gmail. No extra tools or intermediate steps are required. This deep integration is something that other AI tools do not yet offer at this level.
